In August of 2023, Eos Z3 manufacturing began at our Eos Ingenuity Park facilities in Turtle Creek, PA.
We’re deeply committed to maintaining a reliable—and ethical—supply chain.
Manufacturing Eos Z3™ battery modules requires just five low-cost, readily-available, and fully-recyclable commodities that are used in a wide variety of industries, with no geopolitical issues connected to their extraction.
It’s an ingenious product design that enables our local sourcing strategy. Which, in turn, minimizes the risk of supply chain disruptions, so we’re able to avoid significant commodity pricing swings, respond faster to changing demand, and shorten overall delivery lead times. And all while supporting a regional ecosystem of American manufacturing businesses and communities.
Five basic raw materials
Zinc Bromide
Titanium
Graphite felt
Plastic
Water
A majority of the components used to build our batteries are sourced within a day’s drive of our Pennsylvania facility.
Our simple, scalable production processes make our solutions quick, easy, and safe to assemble.
The Eos Z3’s batteries’ ingeniously simple design and use of non-hazardous materials avoid the need for complex manufacturing systems or clean rooms. From start to finish, it takes just five efficient steps using standard automated manufacturing machinery to produce each module. Which also makes our entire production facility quick and simple to scale as well.
In fact, our first commercialized battery module, the Znyth 2.3, rolled off the first line in our first facility at the Eos Ingenuity Park in Turtle Creek just 11 months after it was acquired. Our second facility at the Park beat even that speedy factory stand-up, by commencing manufacturing just seven months after acquisition—while at the same time incorporating key operational changes that optimize processes and yields.
We’re building the advanced, green-collar workforce of tomorrow—today.
Eos Ingenuity Park at Turtle Creek is located at one of the former Westinghouse facilities. For us, the site’s past is a reminder that Eos is a part of our nation’s innovative manufacturing history. The location also provides us access to an amazingly diverse, experienced, and committed talent pool—some of our team members now proudly walk the very halls where their parents and grandparents once worked.
Together, we’re not just building products that will help green our energy infrastructure, we’re building a new, green generation in manufacturing that can revitalize individual careers, local communities, and partner companies.
